Park Area at Luxelakes Eco-City

The Park Area development is a residential and retail complex situated within Chengdu's Luxelakes Eco-City, a premium residential community in China. This multi-building project consists of eight residential towers along with a thoughtfully designed low-rise retail and F&B component, to serve both the residents and the wider community.
Situated in the southern part of the Eco-city, the Park Area development benefits from its strategic location. To the west lies a lush green park, while the north is bordered by a tranquil low-density villa zone. The development's southern and eastern edges face the urban cityscape, allowing for panoramic views of the surrounding area. The buildings are thoughtfully positioned to capitalize on the breathtaking vistas of the nearby urban park and the distant wetlands, with varying heights that contribute to a visually dynamic skyline across the site.
Drawing inspiration from the natural landscapes of Sichuan, 10 Design crafted three unique façade typologies for the towers, adding a sense of dynamism and modern architectural expression to the skyline.
While each building is distinctive in its design, they’re all connected by a unifying concept: the "ribbon." This concept takes shape as captivating rhythmic patterns that grace the façade of each structure. The white ribbon further enhances the unity of the development by extending its embrace to the rooftop, forming unique canopies that not only provide functionality but also serve as an aesthetic element that visually connects the buildings.
Nestled amid verdant greenery, the ribbon-inspired entrance lobbies offer a serene and welcoming ambiance for residents returning home. This green embrace extends to the surrounding landscape, which is thoughtfully designed using a "weaving" strategy that not only guides residents and visitors visually and physically towards the urban park but also encourages community interaction and engagement.
Lining the bustling public roads along the south and eastern edges of the development, a collection of contemporary retail and F&B pavilions rise two and three stories high. These pavilions serve as a transition between the natural and urban settings, employing a blend of stone, glass, and aluminum screens to create versatile spaces that cater to various commercial needs. The retail pavilions and residential towers are skillfully connected using warm and textured landscape elements, effectively weaving the entire development into a cohesive and inviting whole.
