The project is a new central business district in Jinan, China. The two central axes of the site are woven together at the tall iconic 300m and 260m towers to define the centre of the new CBD of Jinan, China. The tower is rotated 30 degrees to face directly south, allowing for a lower carbon footprint and reduced mechanical costs with the building requiring less heating and cooling. Just as plants have a phototropic nature to turn and face the sun, so does the tower. The tower is designed to become an ecological statement in the heart of the CBD by responding to the solar conditions.
